Can flat moles be removed?
No. only raised moles are suitable for this type of cosmetic mole removal. Flat moles cannot be treated using plasma fibroblast.
Should I have my mole checked beforehand?
Yes. We require all clients to have their mole checked by a GP/medical professional and deemed safe for removal for cosmetic purposes.
You will be required to sign a form in the clinic to confirm you have done this.
Skin tags and seborrheic keratosis DO NOT require checking prior to removal unless you/we have any medical concerns regarding the lesion.
Am I suitable for treatment?
As the area to be treated is usually quite small, most clients are suitable for treatment. For higher Fitzpatrick clients there is an increased risk of post inflammatory hyper/hypopigmentation occurring.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
– Under 18
– Pregnant or breastfeeding
– Active cancer or undergoing cancer treatment (must be 5 years clear)
– Keloid scarring
– Blood disease
– Communicable disease (hepatitis, HIV)
– Auto immune conditions
– Epilepsy (if treating near the eye)
– Oral acne medication (last 12 months)
– Diabetes
– Hyper/hypothyroidism (if unstable)
– Acute heart issues
– Bleeding disorders
– Blood thinning medication
– Pacemaker
– Metal implants in the area
– Recent major medical attention / surgery
– Lidocaine / prilocaine allergy (numbing cream)

What will it look like when it heals?
Skin tag removals generally heal very well with little to no trace of where the lesion was removed.
Mole removals generally heal very well. Some clients will have a hyperpigmented or hypopigmented mark or small scar left behind.
Once the scab falls off, the skin will usually look different to normal skin for some time. For example, there may be redness, pigmentation or a change in skin texture. This often gradually improves over time.
How does the treatment work?
Lesions are removed safely and effectively using plasma fibroblast technology.
The lesion is topically numbed before treatment to ensure client comfort. Once the lesion has been removed, a small scab will form over the treated area.
This will naturally shed within approximately 7 days, leaving behind smooth, fresh skin that will continue to heal and fade over the following weeks.

Usually, only one treatment is needed for effective skin tag and mole removal.
